Meet Master Brewer Albert De Brabandere


La Trappe Cafe would like to extend a warm welcome to, Albert Debrabandere,
Fifth generation Master Brewer and owner of Bavik or Brouwerij De Brabandere‘
for an afternoon and evening of beer education and enjoyment.

 1pm – 5pm
Meet and Greet with Albert includes informal tasting of all brews on tap, conversation with the brewer and small bites to get us through.

We will be sampling Petrus 1894 for the first time in the US.                               petrus_1894_slider
The brew is 30% barrel aged Petrus Aged Pale
with hops from 3 great hop growing beer cultures in Europe.

Golding – UK      Saaz – Czech      Tettnang Tettnanger – Germany

Hops are pitched 4 times and the brew is then dry hopped.
Flavor is dry and fresh, much like champagne or sparkling wine.
8% abv and refermented in the bottle with De Brabandere proprietary yeast
Only 40 tickets are available for purchase for this event.

What better way to spend a St. Valentine’s Day afternoon, whether it’s with the love of your life or just friends, than at an Italian Vintage Beer Tasting with La Trappe Cafe.

We have dug deep into our cellar to bring you the best of the best in Italian Beer Offerings brought to you by B United International and La Trappe Cafe.

Tasting from 2pm – 4pm
Michael Hartman of B United will host a tasting of bottle offerings from our cellar with 2 side by side bottle / tap offerings of Italian specialty beers.

Happy Hour 4pm – 5pm
Time to mingle and have a good time with all Italian tap offerings to taste and talk about.

Rodger Davis of Faction brewing will be
accompanied by nine other brewing friends.
Each brewing the same base brew at their
breweries but each adding their own special
2 hop blend to the kettle.

There will be 10 brews on tap for this event
for everyone to sample
Plus 5 other brews from Faction Brewing on tap.
